The new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus have sparked a new soul in the world of iPhone lovers. Every year, Apple comes up with a new iPhone series having some fantastic new features that attract millions of people across the world.
Just as all other countries, Singaporeans also welcomed this new iPhone with great eagerness. The new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus launched in Singapore on 22 Sept, 2017 that got the attraction of the neighboring countries as well.
On this launch, a number of foreigners from India, Thailand, Vietnam specially had come to see the launching of these two iconic smartphones.
As the Channel NewsAsia (CAN) reported, the queue had started on Thursday evening to enter the Apple Store that is along Orchard Road. Most of them stayed there for even the whole night to take a better position in the line.
“I feel very good. I was doubting if I could get the phone. Now, I feel very lucky because I am first, so I will definitely get it,” a 43 years old businessman expressed his view with these lines.
The first man in line was Mr Amin Ahmed Dholiya who had come directly from India and reached the store at 7 pm on Thursday evening.
Some people even skipped their dinner to reach the store so that they could get a better position in the queue. There was a a mobile seller in the line who had come to Singapore to buy these new phones. He said,
In Vietnam, we don’t get the iPhone on the first day of Apple’s release, so we come here.”
The Prices start from S$1,148 for the iPhone 8 and S$1,308 for the iPhone 8 Plus. They are available in silver, space gray, and gold color with the capacities of 64 GB and 256 GB.
